FAQS

Here are some answers to common questions that have come from perspective students:

1.  What training classes are real?

A word of caution, there are many fraudulent classes advertised out there.  You pay a fee, hear some old stories and are given wrong information.  Bad information can land you in jail and expose you to criminal and civil liability.  Ask yourself the following questions:

  1. 1.  Is the training approved by a government agency - state, local or federal.

  2. 2.  Does the training reference to written law and provide written examples.

  3. 3.  Is the instructor a real person - not using some fake or made up name.

  4. 4.  Is the training real and does the training have proven results.

Bail Education Association is the only California bail education school with a real proven instructor that continues to use his experience and help its students throughout their career.

2.  What is the difference between a Bail Agent and a Bail Fugitive Recovery Agent?

A Bail Agent is licensed by the State Department of Insurance to post bail bonds with jails and courts that allow people to be released from jail while their criminal case is ongoing.  A Bail Agent is allowed by law to retrieve a person who has failed to appear in court or breached the bail bond contract while out of jail on a bail bond.

A Bounty Hunter or Bail Fugitive Recovery Agent is a person hired by a Bail Agent and given written authorization to retrieve a person who has either failed to appear in court or breached the bail bond contract while out on the Bail Agent’s bond.  In California there is no license required by the state at this time.

3.  Do I have to take a test to become a Bail Agent or Bail Fugitive Recovery Person?

You do have to successfully pass the exam given by Department of Insurance to complete the Bail Agent licensing process.  Bail Education Association prides itself as having the highest rate of students pass the Department of Insurance bail agent examination on their first attempt.  Once you have successfully completed the Bail Agent Pre-Licensing course, received your certificate and submitted your application.  Click here to schedule your test:
